Terms of Use

These terms apply to Live Sound Translator ("the app"), published by VIET NAM CODERS COMPANY LIMITED ("we"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Licence

When you get the app from the Mac App Store, your licence is Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with these terms. Where the two conflict, Apple's agreement prevails. If you obtain a build directly from us, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on Macs you own or control.

2. Free trial and purchase

• The Mac App Store edition is free to download. You can claim a free 30-day trial that unlocks every feature. The trial does not charge you and does not convert into anything automatically.
• A one-time "Lifetime Unlock" in-app purchase unlocks the app permanently for the Apple Account that bought it. "Lifetime" means for as long as the app is offered and works on a supported version of macOS; it is not a subscription and has no recurring charge.
• Purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

3. Your responsibilities

• Use the app only with audio you are allowed to listen to, transcribe and translate. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including laws on recording or transcribing conversations and on copyright, and with the terms of the services whose audio you play.
• Transcripts and subtitle files you export are yours to manage. Do not share content you have no right to share.
• Do not try to bypass the app's licensing or use it to break the law.

4. Third-party AI providers

If you connect a cloud AI provider, such as OpenRouter or Anthropic, you do so with your own account and API key. Your use of that provider is governed by its terms and privacy policy, and you are responsible for its charges. Transcribed text is sent from your Mac directly to that provider; see our Privacy Policy. We are not a party to your relationship with the provider and are not responsible for its service.

5. Accuracy

Speech recognition and translation are automated and can be wrong, incomplete or delayed. Do not rely on the app's output where mistakes could cause harm, for example for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions, or as an official record of what was said.

6. Apple services

The app relies on features of macOS, including Apple's on-device speech recognition and translation. Their availability, languages and quality are determined by Apple and may change.

7. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

9. Changes and ending

We may update the app and these terms. The current terms are always on this page, and continued use after a change means you accept it. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Your licence ends automatically if you breach these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live.
